Festival of Lights
Berlin on Ice An ice rink of 700 square metres invites people to skate on ice or to play curling. The ice rink is surrounded by pagoda tents with gastronomic delicacies and drinks and a theatre tent offers a varied cultural programme. Winter world at Potsdamer Platz In the middle of the city, with a view of Brandenburg Gate, visitors can sledge on the real snow of a big mobile toboggan run. This year´s Winter World at Potsdamer Platz once again offers exceptional winter attractions. Next to the big toboggan run, there are a large ice-rink and a “ski carousel’ for children. Visitors can rent snowtubes, skates and ski equipment for children. The pre-Christmas mood is topped of by a traditional Christmas market with arts and crafts, gingerbread, mulled wine and many more gourmet goodies. More... 03.Nov - 06. This year the winter sleep will be banished from Berlin. Great attractions like a toboggan run in the city or a nightly shopping festival the decorated streets which appear like a sea of lights. It turns the winter into an unforgettable experience.
The festival of Lights will illuminate the capital in magical light. Spectacular light installations at Berlin’s most famous landmarks will be presented. Astonishing events with focus on the fascination of light are also part of the festival.
Visit the original Roncalli Christmas circus in the Tempodrom at Anhalter Bahnhof and enter a breathtaking and magic world. One of the big attractions of the promising program is the legendary clown Pic with his famous soap bubbles.
