Expressionism, works by the "Brücke" (Bridge) group of artists, which was established in Dresden in 1905: Kirchner, Heckel, Bleyl, Pechstein, Schmidt-Rottluff, Otto Müller, Nolde. The world's largest collection of works by this expressionist society includes roughly 400 paintings as well as thousands of hand drawings, watercolors, and original graphics, including masterpieces of wood engraving.
